Off Limits is a great tool to ensure that all company members are given a warning message or an alert when they first enter a client and/or contact record. Examples of this are Current Placement, Dispute, Non Poaching Agreement, etc. The choices listed will be decided by your project team before you go live on Mercury and can be added to at any time by your System Administrator(s).

Client record

Navigate to the Administration tab. At the bottom, you will find the Off Limit section:

Select the Off Limit Reason. Add any notes and if required, an expiry date if applicable. Save the record. The Off Limits reason will appear in a banner at the top of the record:

Any Contacts linked to that Client will also have the same Off Limits banner.

The Off Limits Reason can be removed at any time.

If it is required that only certain team members can amend this, this can set up, as it's an Admin permission that can be removed.

Contact record

If there is a scenario where just an individual needs an Off Limits alert, there is the option to set this on the Contact record.

Navigate to the Further Information tab and the Off Limits field is displayed. Select the correct option and save the record. The banner will displayed at the top of the record.
